1. INTRODUCTION, PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Walkbox is a mobile App offering self-guided walking tours that allow visitors and locals to discover and connect with the essence of beautiful cities and outdoors in Portugal.
To better protect your privacy, we advise you to carefully read this privacy policy before using Walkbox. Please note that by using the Walkbox app, you represent that you have read this privacy policy, understand it and agree to its terms.
2. PERSONAL DATA
The term 'personal data' refers to information that relates to you as an identified or identifiable individual.
Walkbox is a standalone App that does not require any type of user login and personal data. We don't even have a server database to store user data. What happens on your phone stays on your phone. As such, Walkbox does not access, store or use any user personal data and has no access to information identifying your device.
3. LOCATION
In order to help you follow the walk routes on the map and offer an automatic audio guide, Walkbox tracks your location in real-time, provided the privacy settings on your mobile device allow sharing of such location information with Walkbox. The user location information is not stored by Walkbox or shared with third-party suppliers, nor it is used for any other means except those mentioned herein. You can change the privacy settings on your device at any time.
4. THIRD PARTY NAVIGATION SERVICES
When using Walkbox you can connect seamlessly to 'Apple Maps', 'Google Maps' and 'Waze' to receive navigation services to navigate to the walk starting point or to get to a particular point of interest. Your use of the 'Apple Maps', 'Google Maps' or 'Waze' navigation services is subject to the terms and conditions and privacy policies of such services and is not covered by this privacy policy.
5. SHARING TOUR HIGHLIGHT PHOTOS
Walkbox enables you to share a tour highlight photo with others, using third party applications such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Apple Mail, Gmail or Facebook Messenger. The information you choose to share in this way may be read, collected, and used by others, in accordance with the terms of use and privacy policies of these third-party applications. Sharing of this information is subject to the terms and conditions you have agreed to with such third-party application providers, including their privacy policies, and is not covered by this privacy policy.
6. TRACKING APP EVENTS
To help design the best possible product and offer a great user experience, Walkbox uses 'Google Analytics for 'Firebase' analytics service 'Event Screen View' to capture data about App events and how the user interacts with the Walkbox graphical user interface. This analytics service provider may collect your device type, your usage information and similar personal data with respect to the device you employ to use Walkbox.
7. CONNECTIONS AND LINKS TO OTHER SERVICES AND APPLICATIONS
Walkbox includes connections to third-party services and applications. For example, when you use the 'Apple Maps' feature to navigate to a walk starting point or when you share your tour highlights photo through 'Whatsapp'. We have no control over and are not responsible for the information that is submitted to, collected or processed by such third-party services or applications and this privacy policy does not cover any data collection or processing by such third-party services or applications. You are encouraged to carefully read the privacy policies and the terms of use of those third-party services or applications to understand their procedures for collecting, using, and disclosing personal data.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We reserve the right to change this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will also revise the 'last updated' date. If we make significant changes in a new release of Walkbox, we will notify you upon your next upgrade of Walkbox. Your continued use of Walkbox after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.
