Walkbox app launches “Lisbon Lights” to discover the Christmas lights in the city center on foot

Oeiras, December 16, 2021 – Walkbox, the innovative self-guided walking tours app, has just launched the “Lisbon Lights” tour, the first that invites you to discover on foot the Christmas lights and a selection of historic shops and cafes in the center of the city.

Walkbox challenges us on a circular walk of 2.7km that goes from Praça do Comércio to Chiado to admire the Christmas lights of 2021 in the historic center of Lisbon and discover the most emblematic shops and cafes in this area.

The new tour “Lisbon Lights” is one of the highlights of the second version of Walkbox launched this week, along with two more tours in Belém, totaling 10 self-guided tours in Lisbon with more than 400 points of interest described in detail with exclusive content and original photos.

"We tried to convey the magic of Christmas in Lisbon and the feeling given by the decorations that make us smile, such as the new Christmas tree in Praça do Comércio, Rua Garrett, the shops and historic cafes or the illuminated façades of Praça do Município and even the whole magical route that goes from the beginning to the end of the tour", said Bernardo Pinto, co-founder of Walkbox, instagrammer of the popular photography page @ben.pinto and author of the photos in “Lisbon Lights”.

In this expanded and improved version, Walkbox now includes three cultural tours in the city of Évora and four outdoor tours in Serra da Estrela's Natural Parque.
